    KOREA GARDEN - 470 RIDEAU - 789-5496

Korean Garden (I think it's called) on Rideau near Chapel. Found this place quite by accident as the result of needing to use up some coupons in last year's Entertainment Book.

They have a signature meal that involves lifting away the centre portion of your tabletop to reveal an in-table natural gas grille. You get a huge platter of wafer-thin, marinated strips of beef, chicken and pork, plus a great selection of side dishes.

With a sushi appetizer and an Eastern beer (Sapporo, Tsing Tao, Kirin, or one of each if you're not in a hurry), it's excellent and a delightful experience around which to have a long, pleasant dinner.

I've been to the Seoul House several times this year to sample their Korean fare. I've tried some of the menu items as well as a few of the lunch combination offerings and have enjoyed everything I've tried there so far. Anyone I've been with has also been impressed with what they've tried.

I haven't looked into whether this Korean restaurant also does the do-it-yourself grilling thing that Korea Garden does. They probably do, but I prefer to let the experts do the cooking when I eat out so I'll likely stick to having the dishes prepared for me.
